Endless months of correspondance resulting in an agreement for a weekend trip, on arrival this arrangement changed to a 1.25 hour meeting due to "other commitments / meetings" this changed before we even met. So ended up doing nothing for the rest of the time, there was no backup plan given that correspondance was plentiful.
1,000 Euros and 3 days off work for this, a complete waste of time that others should be aware of.
Dresses very well considering she doesn't have a job, during meeting, wouldn't look eye to eye and generally failed to engage, very dis-interested!!

Everything you have written here on the post was EXACTLY my trip also.
BUT, I'm not allowed to use the word SCAM because the agency was AFA ( a foreign affair) and they cannot see anything wrong with what the woman and her agency people were doing.
And according to other 'experts' on other forums, it is me who is at fault..Somethings i agree on, but the majority, i don't.
Correspondence, keeping men online and luring men to travel half way around the world is a big joke to the women and the agencies..It's all a game of 'Catch me if you can'..OR, 'Can you tell I'm not really interested'..
Everything we tell people to do is to go over an meet as many women as possible, we do not suggest you writing for months on end. We have been doing this for years and we tell people to plan a trip write some girls you are interested in and go meet as many women as you can. Way to many people ignore this and fall in lust with a photo. It rarely works
For the record, I agree that you shouldn't correspond endlessly... however, the duration was really more to do with my lack of availability to travel than anything else... also, I never got carried away with her looks, I really didn't think she was that hot anyway, I was more interested in her other attributes as these indicated we would be a good match, also we both speak Spanish.
I did the multiple dates trick on a previous trip, to be honest and I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I get fed up speaking through interpreters to women that couldn't be bothered to learn a bit of English... in fact I found the interpreters more appealing and found myself chatting them up instead.
That said, I did meet some genuine women that wanted to progress things which I declined, I realised that communication was a big issue for me and decided to only meet women that spoke English, such as this woman. Obviously when targetting, this narrows down the field...
Anyway, I am based out in Asia now and these women do more for me than Eastern Europeans and generally they are happier people in comparison... so all turned out well in the end.... (Although, there are different types of scams out here, lol!!!)

Everything that has been said in this forum thread is true, it is always possible that you will travel to meet that one girl and she will be disinterested for one of many reasons. That is why the reputable companies tell you NOT to send these endless letters!
If you are gonna find yourself a cute, nice, smart foreign woman, you need to travel there and meet as many of them as you can on one of these hosted tours. If you send letters back and forth spending thousands of $$$ to talk to one girl, and you think you are gonna travel over there and things are just going to end up like your dreams, you really are dreaming. The chances are slim, even tho its possible. When you go on one of these group tours though, you get to meet so many women it's crazy. I agree with Ken that once you decide on a place to go you should start communicating with a few women from that area that you will be able to meet.
Haha, also like the "fall in lust" comment, cuz it's so true. Guys see a girl's pictures and can't realize that there are soooo many other beautiful women who want to meet american guys.
